Neighborhood Barn

Bring your gatherings and celebrations to our neighborhood barn. This indoor/outdoor gathering space is a classic example of Central Coast culture, where we bring elegant events into the beauty of nature.

Neighborhood Park

The nearly 5 acre passive park, which is connected to the 27 acre central oak forest for a total of 32 acres, is to be maintained as part of the Dana Reserve Specific Plan. Where development is to occur adjacent to coast live oaks, county oak tree protection measures will be implemented. A combination of both on-site and off-site mitigation will be used to offset the live oak trees.

Equestrian Trail Head

Horse-lovers and hikers will enjoy easy access to the Dana Reserve's miles of trails. With over a dozen horse-boarding facilities from Arroyo Grande to Santa Maria, be sure to add Dana Reserve to your rotation of places to enjoy a ride.

Water Conservation

For the first time ever, more water will be returned into the Nipomo groundwater basin than extracted by the NCSD, in part due to return flows from the Dana Reserve and reduced groundwater pumping. The additional water connections at the Dana Reserve will not use groundwater from the Nipomo basin—now or in the future. Dana Reserve empowers the NCSD to further reduce groundwater pumping by purchasing previously contracted imported water, which saves current ratepayers money. The plan incorporates the most current standards for use of drought-tolerant native vegetation wherever practicable, using state-of-the-art irrigation systems and best practices for the establishment of plantings and long term maintenance.
